The Luperian Empire consists of the Lupo, a peoples similar to humans with wolven characteristics, such as superior strength, hearing, speed, etc. They have wolf ears, sharp claws (nails) and a tail. You have your Boreal (Artic/Himalayan) wolves, Antilles (Mexican/North Western), Scarlet (Red), Palearctic (Eurasian/Eastern) Lupo. There are also the Habeshian (Ethiopian), but they don't really have their own Kingdom within the Empire. --------------------------------History----------------------------------- They originally were all over the world, however, after the other peoples of the world started conquering their lands, they fled to this area. They untied under one banner, and when the foreign coalition came to take our land, we pushed them back. However, the unity didn't last forever. As our enemies stopped trying to take our lands, we began to fracture. Eventually, the Empire split apart for several hundred years. The Kingdoms were always at each other's throats, with constant wars, however, we had advanced tech and gained knowledge due to this rivalry. After that period, A Boreal 'Great Alpha' (King) led an invasion against the others after gathering his strength. He took the two neighboring Kingdoms, wiping them both out through his sheer brilliance, and then he became 'Great Alpha' of the last one. He colonized all over the world. The Boreal ruled for centuries longer, until the 1600s, the 100 year civil war began. All of the Lupo fought for over 100 years without stop, slaughtering each other and devastating the land. They showed no mercy on each other, having the anger of 1,000 generations. This Civil War ended in a draw. Rudolph Wolfgang, son of all the Lupo, with a lot of royal blood in him, united the Lupo through diplomacy. He was born a minor-noble, fighting for the Boreal, and then switching sides multiple times after realizing that wasn't the life he wanted. He was an amazing warrior and commander, and he gained quite the reputation and following. When he declared himself 'Grand Alpha' (Emperor), he had almost unanimous support, with everyone tired and devastated from the fighting. He led our Second Golden Age, which lasted until his death. The economy rapidly grew due to his reforms, with him turning us into a trade Empire and us making a lot of money. He shaped the Empire into what it is today. Now, just 100 years later, the Empire has been stagnating. They had a boom with the Industrial Revolution, but haven't really been able to grow since then. Velvela Wolfgang appeared on the scene, becoming insanely popular, and was almost universally elected 'Grand Alpha' by Parliament. She promises to make the Empire great again! For Lupo and for Empire! ----------------------------Governments------------------------------ There is the 'Imperial Parliament', it has the 'House of Lupo' and 'House of Packs'. The 'House of Lupo' represents all people of the Empire, though mostly Lupo people, with anyone else having very little representation. The 'House of Lupo' balances Lupo of all Castes (Alpha, Beta, Delta and Omega), each caste having equal power/representation. The 'House of Packs' have Kingdoms, Principalities, Duchies, Counties and Baronies, with Kingdoms having almost all the representation. The vote of citizens also counts, with us having a hybrid Democratic/Republican system, similar to the Swiss model. The Executive and Judicial branches are run by the 'Grand Alpha' (Empress). They wield a lot of power and have elected Ministers under them who also have a lot of power, but not more than the 'Grand Alpha'. The Ministers are elected every 10 years.
------------------------------Kingdoms--------------------------------- The Kingdom of Antille produces almost all of our natural resources, as they are heavily resource rich. They used to be the richest Kingdom because of that, but not really anymore. They are almost entirely urban communities. They believe in many Gods, they also believe their hard work will be rewarded in the afterlife, going to heaven for hard work and hell for being lazy. They are deeply connected to their land. They value hard work, sharing, individual liberty, family and fairness. Politically, they believe in Anarcho-Distributism. The Kingdom of Scarlet is our industrial centre. They are basically one big industrial city, divided into 'Districts' for better management. They currently are the richest Kingdom, but the others are rapidly catching up. They believe in 1 God, like the Antilles, they believe in a heaven and hell for those who are selfless/selfish or those who are hard-working/lazy. They value hard-work, sharing, obedience, loyalty, efficiency, schedules, etc. Politically, they are Revolutionary/Industrial Syndicalist. They are run by a Council of Commissars. The Kingdom of Boreal is where all of our services come from, including the military. They have several major cities and a lot of suburban areas. They are pretty rich, though one of the poorest in the Empire. These people believe in reincarnation, where you will eternally be reborn, and the more good deeds you do (Hard work, self-sacrifice, etc), the more you will be blessed in your next life, and the more bad deeds you do (Lazy/Selfish and such), the more you will be cursed in your next life. They value action, hard work, your skills/talent, strength, individualism, etc. Politically, they are Fascist Capitalist, or State Capitalists. :p They are run by a Great Marshal who is the military leader and usually the strongest warrior. The Kingdom of Palearctica is the 'intellectual capital' of the world. They are very suburban, though have some urban areas. They were once the poorest people, but in recent decades, they have begun to become the richest Kingdom in the Empire, expected to by 1930-40, having the most rapid economic growth in the world. They believe through mediation, consuming certain plants, etc, they can be enlightened. They believe in magic through science and they don't believe in God. They value intellectualism, machiavellianism, individualism, etc. Politically, they are a Direct-Geniocracy (Democracy where only the smart can vote). They are run by the 'Council' of the smart people in their society. So to summarize for economy, Antilles produces all the resources, Scarlet turns those resources into products, Boreal has the best workers and the services (Like military) and Palearctica runs everything/educates everyone. -----------------------------------Other--------------------------------- For our education system, kids attend boarding schools in Palearctica. From the ages of 5-15 students attend 'Schools', where they learn everything from Language, History, Religion, Art, Music, Dance, etc. Most people graduate at 15. From the ages of 15-20, people learn how to do a specific job they want to do, only about 45% of people are able to go to an Academy (These schools). After that are Universities, which only about 20% of people attend, all Palearctic. At University, they are taught critical thinking, philosophy, problem-solving, strategy, etc. Culturally, we are one of the most Individualistic countries in the world. While half of our Kingdoms have dictators or are collectivist by our standards, they still are far more individualistic than the rest of the world. While there is still some racism between the Lupo, they all are more of 'We're better, but meh' rather than anything aggressive. A large portion of our population lives like Kings (About 30-40%) and the rest still have better living standards than the rest of the world, but still not great. The Boreal are usually hired as mercenaries or as contractors, they are some of the best workers in the world, and that helps make us rich, but we don't have enough of them to make all of our workers like them, and we wouldn't want that anyways. They are the best general workers, but pretty much as productive as specialized workers (Like the Antilles for Farming). :p The Antilles are the most resource rich area of the world, having almost every natural resource, with us importing plants from all over the world to help boost production. We almost entirely rely on them, and can even export some resources, but prefer not to. With a massive expansion of industry, we are starting to not be able to meet demands, so we are starting to look elsewhere.
