I've decided to leave Scratch. Over the past weeks, rumors have spread that I use AI to make my animations. That isn't true. I've spent countless hours learning, practicing, and creating my work myself, but many people chose to believe the rumor instead of asking me directly. Because of this, I've been cyberbullied, excluded from projects, and even removed from MAPs I was excited to be part of. Watching people judge me based on something false has been incredibly painful. I've deleted all my animations because my hours of work were all for nothing. If anyone had actually checked, they would have found that inside my projects, every animation was made up of screenshots from Adobe Fresco. I’ve had to lie to my family about why I'm not eating properly and to my friends about why I'm so quiet now. I can’t live like this anymore. I'm leaving Scratch now, and I will never be coming back.
There were many comments but these were some of the politest ones, which alone tells you something. To the people who supported me, believed in me, and enjoyed my work, thank you. Your kindness meant more than you know. To everyone else, I hope this experience is a reminder that there is a real person behind every account. Rumors can have consequences, and words online can affect people more than you might realize.
