1/2416 (Mid January) CASULATIES (ESTIMATED) 2.25M CHINA 1.2M NASM **Defences** We know that NASM’s forces need to move as fast as they can for their strategy to work, so we’ll do our best to bog them down. While the troops are fighting against the ground forces of the NASM, engineers and labourers work day and night to quickly alter terrain and build machine gun nests to get the most amount of kills. We also place artillery pieces at the back of the front to fire at positions where NASM forces would likely attack and the weak spots in our defences. We also structured our defensive positions in zig zag lines and made multiple layers of them to bog down their advance when they enter. To further bog down NASM advance, we shall make all the weak spots as muddy as possible with controlled watering, artificial soil binders and wet clay. Moreover, we will position our machine guns to be angled so they can cover the most amount of land and leave no safe space. When NASM forces are bogged down trying to attack us, mortars and artillery will rain down on them and effectively eliminate the majority of their forces. **Drone and Aircraft dogfights** We know that NASM can easily sabotage our defensive efforts by using aircraft. But we shall prove them wrong. We have already placed many anti air turrets armed with laser weapons and guided missiles, but to better increase aircraft kills, newly produced Mosquito Dual Purpose Fighters have been deployed from airbases in Yunnan. Its powerful Ion drives and agility prove difficult for NASM aircraft to shoot down. To combat the drone issue, we counter their drones with our own drones. Thousands of these fighters are sent into the contested airspace in Burma, China sends their best pilots to fight these aerial battles, with many of these aces getting lots of kills. Highly agile (using racing drone engines) and HEMP resistant drones (they and are equipped with faraday cages and are covered in aluminium foil which prevents electromagnetic waves from travelling into drones) armed with light machine guns or HEMP shooting weapons (depends on the model), are to provide defensive support against NASM drone waves. Additionally, more Anti Air weapons like IFVs, SAMs and ATGM turrets are being placed or sent to key locations to prevent them from being captured or bombarded. This shall effectively counter the capabilities of NASM air forces in our airspace. To recover aircraft losses and increase kills by our pilots, AI is actively being used to detect and point out suspected enemy targets and give pilots a heads up. Pilots are also being taught The Dicta Boelcke, a list of key notes by the famous WW1 pilot Oswald Boelcke. (His rules led to the success of the Red Baron) Additionally, his notes are being updated to fit current trends and warfare. **Supply** NASM knows we are using roads as our main source of transporting supplies, so we will transport small amounts of supplies using transport drones (escorted by fighter drones) Supply depots are also being decentralised, many small supply depots are being set up close enough to the front but far away from artillery. The reason we did this is to not centralise all of our supplies in one area which is easy for NASM drones to strike. Each small supply depot would be defended by 5 anti-drone laser weapons inspired by the Dominion’s anti drone technology from the Caribbean War. Instead of supply trucks, roads would mainly be used to transport injured troops and civilians. For those military farms, troops are told when they spot napalm being dropped, they are to quickly smother the napalm to cut off its oxygen supply. Therefore, mass fires wouldn’t occur as often. Additionally, instead of using humans, droids would farm these farms to not divert troops from the front. Now, I will state this again, these farms are far from the front. They transport food using transport drones and send them either to supply depots or directly to troops. **Reinforcements** Hundreds of thousands of troops from the Vietnam Front are being paradropped into Burma and trained by senior strategists that have been studying jungle warfare and the tactics used by NASM. Tired and exhausted troops are being sent back to China just when the reinforcements arrived. This is to keep our soldiers as vigilant as possible. **Encircled Troops** As command is decentralised, junior officers know what the front is like and are able to make their own decisions. Therefore, small raids by squads of troops are carried out against NASM forces. Harassing their troops and quickly retreating. To avoid being attacked by drones, they retreat into the deep jungle. Even if Project Felix can see us, they can’t get to us since many casualties will be inflicted. Additionally, attacking these small squads wouldn’t be as beneficial for the NASM army since other small squads would continue raids on them.
**Structure Reform** Instead of relying on the human brain to make decisions that could be disastrous, we have left these decisions to highly intelligent Droid Commanders which we have trained it to study all of the wars from the last 100 years. These droid commanders would be deployed to the front to advise or even take control of the front and command troops. Additionally, we have structured our frontlines to be easy to access for us, by training our troops to carefully study defensive positions and secret hiding spots. CREDITS: SONG: Warren Zevon
