If you what to make a graphics editor that mimics the Scratch costume editor, you may want to have the same "checkerboard" background. Building it as a Backdrop is insufficient because a Backdrop can neither be "zoomed" or "panned". A simple costume is also insufficient if the editor is pen-based because pen or stamping are always directly on the stage (behind all costumes). This project contains a backpackable, checkerboard costume that stamps itself on the stage and responds to zoom and pan. This demo is a simple rectangle creator as an example of how to use the "Backdrop' Drag the mouse pointer to create some rectangles, before or after zooming and panning using the on-stage sliders. Made with 10,800 painted squares! (The checkerboard grid is 120x90)
