(CONTEXT/STORY) So uhhh, this is Steven Oliver Whitlock. He used to live a pretty normal life as a father of two kids, Jamie and Scott. Some people say he's still a father, and honestly, he thinks so too. The problem is that Jamie and Scott passed away years ago. (+) One day, the two kids wandered into the forest after claiming they had found some "doggies" and wanted to go see them. Steven thought they'd be back soon, but they never returned. After a search, the truth was discovered, Jamie and Scott... has.. d!3d...and Steven's life was never the same again.(+) Ever since then, he's been struggling with constant nightmares. Almost every night, he relives memories of his children or sees strange versions of that day. Sometimes he wakes up convinced he heard their voices calling for him from outside his house.(+) Things only got worse over time. Steven began experiencing hallucinations. He claims he still sees Jamie and Scott around him. Sometimes they're sitting by the fireplace, laughing and playing together as if nothing ever happened. Other times, he catches glimpses of them standing in doorways, sitting at the dinner table, or quietly walking beside him. Whenever he turns to look directly at them, they're gone.(+) Because of this, Steven has developed severe paranoia and frequent delusions. He often feels like something is watching him from the woods, especially at night. He has trouble telling the difference between real memories and things his mind creates. Some days he believes his children are trying to communicate with him. Other days he's convinced that whatever lured them into the forest is still out there.(+) Despite everything, Steven refuses to let go of the memories of Jamie and Scott. He keeps old photos of them around the house and talks about them as if they might walk through the front door at any moment. Whether he's truly seeing them or simply being haunted by grief is something nobody really knows—not even Steven himself.
