my entry for firefly! :D (will be adding more, this is a wip.) click or space for next some lore heh: firefly was once a normal cat. well, besides the fact that she had no friends and was hated by her parents. one day, she stumbled upon a wishing well. her wish was a bit silly, "i wish to look cool so i can have more friends." and then BOOM, she looked like this. she didnt notice it at the time, but there was a reason she was merged with a firefly. turns out, there was a firefly near the well. despite her new look, she still struggled to make friends, was called 'abnormal' or 'weird'. until one fateful day, she met a new cat. this cat looked very mean and rude on the outside, but she found the courage to talk to them. turns out, they were a very nice cat and struggled to make friends due to their default scowl face and scars, which made them look unapproachable. the two became very good friends and firefly decided she didnt wanna live with her parents anymore. the two ran away (as friends, not a couple). they found a spacious hole in the ground that they decided to call home. the rest, well, there’s not much. they lived peacefully, aside from a few fox attacks. they both died of old age. however, every day in the afterlife she was plagued with sadness because her friend was not there. she didn’t know where they were, but they weren’t with her. she started getting anxious that they were trapped somewhere.. she started thinking about her life before she ran away. she realized just how awful her home life used to be. she was yelled at, guilt tripped, and scratched by her parents almost every day. all this was overwhelming. she started to wish there was no afterlife. she decided that life was too hard alone, and went to search for her friend. she still has not found them. she will be searching forever, for her friend never existed. her friend was a hallucination all along.
