I'm not sure if this roleplay will ever actually exist since I'm kind of busy with other rps and life. but maybe I'll make it someday, if I have the time. I've had this concept for a while, so i kind of want to make it real. tw: sacrifice, death. . . . . . . concealed deep in the never-ending forest is a kingdom: ravenshade. once upon a time, there were three other kingdoms. but they are no more, for they fell to magic. those who do not belong in the kingdom are the wanderers. some posses magical powers. some do not. ravenshade believes in a raven - like being. some call it night, some believe its true name is lunae. but its real true name was lost to time. many, many moons ago, lunae (or night, as some call it) had helped crescent , the first monarch of ravenshade , found the kingdom along the three others that are now lost. it is unknown what happened to them, though legends speak of some possibilities, and ravenshade no longer speaks of their existence; they are lost, and they will always be. but they are not. for one kingdom, although barely, has managed to survive. to avoid being destroyed completely, legends say they retreated to the silent deserts, where no soul that entered ever returned. this kingdom, known only by its members , is known as dunerise. ravenshade only awakens at night, under the moon's light. they think that the moon is lunae / night's eye, watching over them, seeing everything they do. many moons ago, when ravenshade was new and the three other kingdoms alive, lunae / night had given crescent a blessing, shortly before it disappeared and never returned. this blessing passed onto crescent's descendants. but lunae / night needed a price. every four moons, all of the kingdom's kits were taken deep into the forest, where lunae / night would take them. sometimes, lunae / night only took one. other times, it took nearly all of them. if even one kit fails to attend, lunae / night sends its ravens to take that kit. there can be no exceptions. wanderers are trusted by neither kingdom. some wanderers are the descendants of the fallen kingdoms. some were exiled. some were always wanderers. although wanderers do not belong to the kingdoms, some still observe and study their history. no wanderer has ever seen the dunerise kingdom, but some claim to know where it is. the dunerise kingdom thrives in the silent dunes. the cats of dunerise are as silent as the wind, making little to no noise. only the dunerise cats know where the kingdom lies, hidden far away from where any outsider could reach. the cats of dunerise pass legends of the lost kingdoms to the next generation. it is highly forbidden for the cats of dunerise to leave the silent deserts, for secrecy is the key to survival. if even one soul knew where the kingdom of dunerise was, it could destroy them. to avoid being discovered, dunerise cats speak a secret language the cats of ravenshade and even the wanderers do not know. the first monarch of the dunerise kingdom, sandwhisper, carried no blessing but a curse: when they slept, they dreamed of the past, unburying secrets and truths long-forgotten. but they could never speak or think of the truth. if they did, they would be taken by vipera, one of the gods. this curse was passed onto their descendants. the god who protects dunerise is called vipera. vipera is a cobra - like creature who can transform to a cat at will. vipera's nemesis is a god named goldshore, a spirit from the sea, who is believed to cause disasters. over the thousands and thousands of moons, legends have spoken of creatures that the gods have created. there is a creature that goldshore created, creatures that are half cat, half fish, with glimmering scales and fish fins known as oceantides to cats. these oceantides used to be almost everywhere on the shores near the dunerise kingdom, the only beings who have been able to enter and leave the silent deserts as they pleased. some oceantides even managed to join the kingdoms, long ago. some of their descendants in the kingdoms appear to resemble cats, but have minute oceantide traits, such as iridescent fur, fin - like fur, and even a few scales. it's believed that the oceantides are long gone, as the last sighting had happened four hundred moons ago. but maybe they're still lurking, in the deepest depths of the ocean they once came from. . .
other info: - this roleplay is inspired by fairytales! if this roleplay ever becomes real, i'd add more fairytale concepts into it. - both kingdoms have different traditions and ranks, since they have different history. - legends and lies shape the events and lore. retold legends are never the same as the original. - some cats are blessed or cursed with magic, sometimes by the gods. blessings and curses are passed down to descendants. - the kingdoms lived for thousands of moons. - at the start of the rp, i'll pick some cats to have curses, blessings, unnatural traits (like.. color changing fur, special fur colors, stuff like that) or oceantide character slot. - it's been thousands of moons since the other kingdoms fell. no cat knows what they were like except for legends passed on. - every once in a while, there would be events. these could be limited to a kingdom or it could happen everywhere. - starclan and dark - forest are non - existent in this world; they have died out like the clans. they are nothing but kit-tales now. - again, no cat but the members know about the dunerise kingdom, and finding it would be hard since no cat returns from the silent deserts. - the kingdoms have slight differences in their cats: dunerise cats are silent, making nearly no noise, while ravenshade cats have adjusted to the darkness of the night. - although this is fantasy, it's still going to be somewhat realistic. - many, many moons ago, long before the kingdoms were created, there were two - legs. it is unknown what happened to them, but they left behind their treasures- and some cats scavenge for them. - lore will be uncovered as time progresses on. it could be the truth, or it could be a lie... - magic plays a big role in this roleplay. it is nearly everywhere, yet also rare to find. - ranks are passed down by lineage. - the kingdoms do not really welcome the outsiders anymore; their trust has slowly crumbled over the centuries, and now it barely exists. - maybe there are other creatures the gods created that are now lost to time, long forgotten just like many things... the kingdom names might change if the roleplay ever comes to exist. if anyone's interested, I might actually make this roleplay.
