about you - I'm Star, I've been on Scratch since around early 2022, and I use she/any pronouns :) activity - 6-8/10, I have school, but thanks to summer break I should be more active! tfc/roleplay history - I'm pretty new to TFC specifically, I only have one character, Jester. They're still alive right now, but I've been roleplaying in general since last year. I also have another character in a different roleplay (TSS) who's also alive right now, so I'd say I have a good amount of experience in roleplaying. kit you’re applying for - Charmingkit! ✦ gender & romantic orientation - Cis male, Biromantic, Asexual simple personality (+ either detailed or idea dump) - [+The Face (Positive traits)+] To the average cat, Charming is incredibly disciplined and dedicated to his goals. What are those goals? Simple, Protecting his sisters and becoming the greatest warrior in Shadowclan, then leader after that, to both make his father proud and silence the critical voices in his head. He is an incredibly logical and focused cat, relying on objective facts and reasoning. He is also very, well, charming, convincing others to do things (like giving an extra piece of food) with a well-timed ‘please?’ He also like to watch others train and try to copy what they’re doing to ‘hone his own skills.’ When he does something [=The Core (neutral traits)=] Beneath his bright red cape, Charming is a very quiet and stoic cat. He’s blunt to a fault, seeing no use in sugarcoating or distracting from the truth. He also has an almost desperate need for control. Control over his emotions, control over his clan, and control over his life. And because of how almost rabid this need is, he can come across as unintentionally intimidating. However, he would rather win an argument with that intimidation instead of being vulnerable, because in his mind, if he shows vulnerability, it gives others the chance to pick at his weaknesses and break his self-image. [-The Shadow (negative traits)-] Charming is very insecure about his self-worth. This manifests as a pessimistic and cynical world-view on others that aren’t his family. He expects the worst from everyone else because he expects the worst from himself. Charming is very cold when others test his patience, and incredibly confrontational when others try to downplay his successes. Although slightly ironically, from the storm until Cobaltmyth found him and his siblings, he saw himself as the ‘responsible’ one, the protecter, which can lead to him be very condescending to others when trying to ‘protect’ them. roleplay example(s) - I could take a few threads from my other characters and dump them here...or make a SRP for Charming...so why not BOTH- --------------------- --------------------- ❝ What I could be. ❞ Charming, well Charming/kit/, twisted in the nest where him and his siblings slept, unable to close his eyes and let sleep take him away. He wrapped his scarlet-red cape around himself. His mind was restless, even now. What could tomorrow be? What would happen when he grows up? When he finally gets the title he wants to silence his own doubts. Warrior. Someone skilled in combat. Someone with courage, resilience and determination. A few words that Charming believed fit him perfectly. Courageous, resilient, determined. That was him. That's who he was. But there was another role he was dead-set on. Leader. Someone who inspires and influences the very clan he lives in now. Someone heroic. That...That was his chance to truly be what his father wants. That's what he could, no, what he /will/ be. And nothing will get in the way of that. Albinism is a genetic mutation that causes a total lack of pigmentation throughout the body, resulting in completely white fur, pink leathers and blue eyes in cats. Because albino cats don't have the natural UV protection that melanin provides, albino cats are susceptible to harsh sunburns when in direct sunlight, mainly on their leathers (ears, nose, eyelids, etc.) Albinism can also cause hearing loss, photophobia (extreme light sensitivity), and nystagmus (involuntary eye movements). How it affects Charming: Charming will do his best to avoid sunny days to keep from getting sunburns and keep his eyes safe, though because of Shadowclan's nocturnal nature, that likely won't affect him too much.
