Following the Saudi Arabian demands to Oman, the UAE had backed the Sultanate of Oman by providing weapons and aid in case of a Saudi Arabian invasion, this action was taken to maintain influence in the region and protect their own sovereignty. The UAE had long been weary of Saudi Arabia since the start of the 2nd Arab Cold War, and now they were the last rival to Saudi Arabia in the entire Arabian peninsula, and thus the UAE began mass mobilization. Following this, Ethiopia also began mass mobilization, since they were an ally of the UAE and strongly supported them during their previous conflicts.
