At the beginning, Cam will abandon their normal nest in the trees in favor of keeping the kits safe, not willing to risk them falling. But as they grow up, ze will encourage them to start climbing and face their fears, though she will never force them. The kits will call zer their mother, but as they grow up they may eventually start using her name.
