Chapter One: The Lost Hero The Yiga were stopped and Ganondorf agreed to meet with me. "Night, Zelda," Purah smiled, as she left. "Sleep well Purah," I replied, as I got into bed. I was almost asleep when a cold wind blew into the room. I sat up and lit a candle, slowly getting out of bed. The window was open and a figure with blood red eyes stood in it's light. "Your esteemed majesty. What an honor," he bowed, making eye contact with me. "W-who are you?!" I asked, as he stepped closer. "That is for you to find out and for me to know," he replied. "Are you a puppet or solider of Ganondorf?" I asked, stepping back. "G-ganondorf?! That monster?! No! Never in a thousand years! I work alone, your majesty," he replied, shaking his head. I nodded and my heart pounded. "What brings you here?" I asked, stepping closer. He smiled, "Thought you'd never ask, Zelda! I came here to stop a dark magic from hurting Hylias' vessel. You. In the time Ganondorf will be here I shall be your knight, and if you decline....well you best not decline." He put out his hand and waited. "It is soul binding, if I do not complete this task I... shall die, says the Goddess. Trust this, it is the only sure way you will be safe from Ganondorf," he reassured me. I thought and a voice echoed in my head, "Trust him. Look on his back and see the sword he carries. He is the lost champion. Bring him back to the true light." I looked and saw a sword, the Master Sword, a sword that was supposedly lost in time after the hero fell to darkness. This man was the same hero. I grabbed his hand and a golden light wrapped around our hands. "If this bond be broken and the protector hurts the one in need of this protection he shall be struck down," a voice echoed, as the light dimmed. The man nodded and knelt. "I'm here to serve you," he whispered. I told him to rise and I cleared my throat. "That sword you carry, is it not the Sword that Seals the Darkness?" I asked, looking at the sword. He smiled, "It is, I've carried it for...a while, best not get into the details. Get some rest your majesty, tomorrow is a big day." I nodded as he stood guard. He stayed at the doorway as my eyes closed, my heart racing in fear about tomorrow.
