I am actually so proud of this :000. I did accidentally forget some details in their design when drawing them ':>. I got my proportions wrong when making the canvas. Uhhhhh, oops ':3. Name: Dream Age: ???? Species: Celestial being ~Backstory~ Dream was born from the quietest spaces of the cosmos, a celestial being formed from stardust and the gentle twilight. Unlike other cosmic entities who watched the mortal realm with detachment, Dream was drawn to the fragile spirits of Earth. Seeing how mortals suffered from exhaustion, fear, and the chaotic weight of their waking lives, Dream took on a solemn vow: to ensure every living thing could find a sanctuary of peaceful rest. When a mortal experiences a night terror, panic, or a fractured mind, Dream descends invisibly, using their multiple eyes to track the darkness. They pull the nightmare into their own body. Once absorbed, the raw energy of the nightmare is purified and compressed into solid, blindingly bright celestial energy. This energy forms The Golden Chains. While the chains look beautiful to outside observers, they are incredibly heavy and constricting. Each link represents a mortal's conquered fear. The chains bind Dream's wings and press against their cloud-like form, symbolizing the growing weight of humanity's collective anxieties. Dream is inherently gentle, patient, and deeply empathetic. They don't view the chains as a curse, but rather as a badge of honor and a testament to the lives they've comforted. However, a breaking point is approaching. As the mortal world grows more chaotic, the nightmares are becoming darker and more frequent. The chains are wrapping tighter, beginning to restrict Dream's movement and dimming their internal celestial light. If the chains become too heavy, Dream risks falling into a permanent, nightmare fueled sleep-leaving the mortal realm completely unprotected.
