Her parents where both @dd!tics (https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1305893852) and one day she decided to ask her mother why she would put those white and orange things in her mouth and her mother simply said they helped her relax. So, without knowing better Rin decided to try one so she could be relaxed as he mother had claimed. She became @ddicted and started doing it more and hiding it from her mother. She was open about it to her friends, just not her mother because she didn't want to become like her mother, so she simply hid from reality.
