(warning: implied inanimate insanity spoilers, and angst) even if whatever happened in the final episode of season two made me kinda miserable,, I can finally give dice cube some fleshed out lore!! finally!! ————————————————————————— the odd little shadow guy is dice cube’s imaginary friend, he doesn’t exist at all, but he was first “introduced” when dice cube started doing practically nothing besides staying in their room, and due to dice cube beginning to miss his friend a lot, he slowly thought of this shadow guy to have at least somebody that understands him again. although it barely ever works, or ever helps. and y’all know that an easily changeable mood and a bad event AIN’T a good mix,, so dice cube ends up laying down, he has trouble sleeping and he frequently has nightmares about the things that ended up causing this sudden change in his mood (other feelings besides mostly negative ones and something else suddenly going into a “dormant” state) he tends to visit hotel oj/hoot (possibly, I forgot what it was called now) and do his “doing nothing in his own room” thing. in this nightmare shown in the animation,, he’s kinda getting into a forgetfulness kinda state I guess that’s all!! (so far)
