Growing up there, he found its leaders, rules, and duties painfully boring. Since he mostly kept to himself, The Found cared little about what he did—as long as he stayed out of trouble. That only lasted until his late 20s, when he repeatedly abandoned his assigned station for weeks at a time. As punishment, he was assigned to monitor Mars. For ten years. During that time, The Found assigned him to train a younger worker named Juno** before sending him off to Jupiter. The two quickly bonded, and for a while Mav's otherwise lonely life became a little less dull. But unlike Mav, who was merely considered a nuisance, Juno was viewed as an obstacle. One day, Mav overheard plans to dispose of Juno and cover it up as an accident. Determined to stop it, he attempted to help Juno escape before The Found could act. He failed to make it out unnoticed. And thus ended Mav's story: a life spent drifting through the years with no real ambition, only to fail in the one thing he truly wanted to accomplish. *MAVEN loosely inspired by NASA mission to Mars **Juno loosely inspired by NASA's Jupiter mission ***The Found is essentially this really messed up corporation of leaders based in the sun of our solar system. They breed, raise, and nurture until someone steps out of line.
