What is orchidromantic? Orchidromantic is a micro-label on the aromantic spectrum! It's when an individual experiences romantic attraction towards others, but does not not desire to be in a romantic relationship or setting. Its equivalents are orchidsexual and orchidrose, and it's often considered the opposite of cupioromantic. Orchidromantic is also commonly confused with lithromantic, but they are not the same identity! Lithromantic people can desire a relationship, but their attraction fades upon reciprocation, while orchidromantic people can still retain attraction upon reciprocation (they just don't desire to act on it!) The term was coined on April 22nd, 2021, by ringotheman. The flag was designed the next day by CaseySeal11, and uses the complimentary colors of the cupioromantic flag. An alternate design was also created with rearranged colors and an orchid outline. The prefix orchid- is used because of the flower's frequent love-related symbolization.
