Sunset to Night Poem The sky melts, as I sit next to you, wishing stars await Was our lives aligning just simple luck, or was it up to fate? The sun starts to set, while you start to glow And here’s what I hope you know From sunset to night You’re still the light Under the night sky, your gorgeous eyes shine How lucky I am to call you mine As I wish upon a shooting star You’re finally here after being so far From sunset to night It feels just right As I dream the soothing night away You come up to me and say A three word promise I know is true The magical words, “I love you” Such a wonderful sight From sunset to night
