*warning, coding is happening. For this reason, the game might lag or not work correctly* Please don't hate on me for making a "generic platformer" or whatever. I am a relatively new coder, and I am just trying to improve my skills in a reasonable way. I tried to make a game that was within the reach of my abilities, and here it is. _________________CONTROLS___________________ WASD and arrow keys to move. Pretty normal... Currently, there is no wall jump, as it is really advanced and I couldn't even understand the tutorial. Sorry, I will try to add it... warning: you may experience a jump where you fall twice as fast. If you are worried about it, then just jump until you get it, then you will be ok for a while. I will try to fix this, but I really don't understand why it is happening or how to fix it. Also, you can be 'in' the ground. This is for now, a part of the game. I will likely fix that later, but after a while, I am going to share the project and fix it as I go.
Thank you to Cool Scratch Tutorials on Youtube for the tutorial on how to code gravity. Even though I made it my own, I never would have known how to make it without that tutorial. Also thank you to all of the trending platformers because I looked at the codes for inspiration. I did not copy their codes intentionally, please do not report me. I especially appreciate PLATFORMER!! by goriraf0612 for helping me make the graphics (the graphics are by me but modeled off of that game).
