The prey pile was especially low today and she wasn't sure she could take the strain of her hunger for much longer. She watched as piece by piece each kit in the nursery took prey from the pile. Each taking their own designated turn. But Lily's turn never came. As the last mouse was taken from the pile, the realization dawned on her. This was how she died. It was supposed to hit her like a lighting strike to the head. But Em was too tired and hungry to even care anymore. Tears slipped from her face as she thought of all those she would be meeting in StarClan. And how many more would begin their journeys alongside her. She would finally see Topazkit again. Mushroomkit. Daylilyrise. Her parents. And all the cats that would go with her to meet them. Grisonbear. Mangopaw. Mossypaw. Moonpaw. Bearpaw. Snowbellpaw. They were all dying too. More tears fell and Emberlilypaw let them. Mostly because she didn't have the strength to stop them. She thought of all the hopes she'd shared with all the cats she'd be parting to StarClan with. When she'd told Mango that she could be her deputy when Em became leader. When she'd realized her feelings for Moonpaw. When she tried to befriend Bearpaw a million times over and put all their past experiences behind them. They say that your life flashes before your eyes when you die. Clearly that was what was happening. Death was grasping the last threads of her life. And Em was about to let it take her away entirely. But she had to do one last thing first. With the last of her strength, Lily stood defiantly against the forces that were about to take her life. All flowers die one day, but this one would stand tall 'till the end. The sun set on the distant horizon. The once, bustling camp slowly settled into silent deaths of most of its cats. The last time Em would ever see it. Perhaps even the last time it would ever be seen. "Goodbye," she whispered out into the universe. A word that would never be heard. The last one she would ever say. Lily breathed. Once. Twice. And then stopped. Her body fell limp and she collapsed to the ground. There had been dreams she'd never gotten to happen. Goals she'd never achieved. Confessions she'd never made. And yet she had no regrets. Her life was cut short. Too short. But it was life. And for what she had lived, it was and always would be worth it. A sky full of stars appeared as the last of the sun dipped below the edge of the forest. And this time, Emberlilypaw was among them. - - - RPer Notes: When I saw the notification on the MossClan studio, I was super upset tp see that Emberlily had starved to death. Lily was my second character in Generations and I was super happy to finally have a character when I could truly understand the Generations system. Throughout her short, six moons of life I managed to find her an enemy, a crush, a very close bond with her sister and tons of different friends. But the only thing I regret was that her life ended very quickly. She died the same day she was apprenticed and I never really got to go anywhere with her story. I hope to make that up with my next character and I don't think it's fair that I never got to make her a legacy. Though, as unfortunate as it is, this is very common in Generations. Em was a great character and though my time RPing with her was way too short, she was really great and I will definitely miss her. </3 - - - Final Stats: Emberlilypaw | | 6/2 | 0 | 6 (21m) Copypasta: .・Hello. it seems that your cat knew Emberlilypaw of MossClan in life.
