[English] Glitch Lab - Scratch Week 2026 ----- Hmm… something’s not quite right… Today’s theme is Glitch Lab, where things don’t always go according to plan and that’s exactly the point. Sometimes, unexpected behavior leads to the most interesting things. What happens when a project breaks? What if a bug in your project becomes the main feature? In this lab, nothing has to go as planned. You can bend the rules, flip expectations, and create projects where logic doesn’t always apply. Looking for ideas to get started? - Design a glitchy game where the rules keep changing. - Animate a world where things don’t behave as expected. - Write a story about an invention that started with an accident or mistake. - Create interactive artwork that incorporates visual glitch effects. - Build a project where “errors” unlock hidden features. - Create an animation about a “bug” hired to break things inside a stack of code. - Design a game where up is down and left is right and nothing is as it seems. - Make interactive artwork set inside a broken or glitched Scratch project. - Tell us about a time you encountered a bug while making a Scratch project and how you fixed it. - Remix a project and intentionally “break” it in fun ways! Remember, these are only suggestions! You are welcome to come up with your own ideas as well, or take inspiration from projects already in the studio. What will you create? =^..^= - - - - Scratch Week 2026 was created with and is curated in collaboration with members of the Mentor Program within the Youth Leadership Lab. We may look for more curators to help us in the studio as the week goes on. If we do, we’ll be looking for folks who are helpful, kind, and active in the studio comments and who also seem genuinely interested in helping the studio.
