Please remain inside your homes until further notice. Do not approach any windows, or doors. Please relocate to your basement, or any other windowless, secure room; and most importantly, do not panic.” This message was the most troubling thing on Vespacians’ minds, as this alert was broadcast to the phones of more than 38,000 citizens and tourists in Gatlinburg Tennessee. ~=STATEMENT=~ (D-TN-1) Representative Braddock, when asked outside his office, stated the following: “I think this was more than likely a drill to see how willing the people would be to comply with the government when faced with danger.” The Gatlinburg municipal government posted a similar response on the social app PawPad. ~=SPECULATION=~ After the lockdown order was lifted, some citizens reported at least 15 corpses on porches, in doorways, and near windows; with some having been dragged through broken windows. 2 heavily wounded survivors, when later asked about the event, reported that they saw multiple, abnormally large creatures sharing similarities to both moths and cicadas. Hunkered down citizens reported to have heard buzzing as if from a large swarm of insects. One now deceased individual, was communist opposition leader Edward Beal. His corpse was heavily mutilated with samples having been found up to a mile outside of Gatlinburg. He was identified by blood and dental samples. 30 May 2028, NPR News
