Sorry this one took so long lol i have a bit less time to work each day without school ;v; Also i barely spell checked this one bc it's 9 in the morning so if there's any errors pretend you know what i mean ;w; Anyways, Episode 3 below! :D The party walked into a small town filled with merchant stalls and small houses. Everywhere people rushed to and fro, from stall to stall or house to house, everybody working busily during the market season. "That's Karreo?" Jinx asked, she'd never actually seen a non-foresty town before, having grown up in Floran. "Yep. I actually grew up here." Leo said, which was... almost true. He HAD grown up in Karreo, but a different part of Karreo, a small section of the village up in the mountains, which he preferred to this part of town, with its dirt roads and uncomfortable lack of rock and wind, in his opinion. "Looks... smaller than I imagined." Eve said, looking down the nearby streets, from where they were, you could almost see the end of that part of town. "Well, it's a merchant village, they aren't usually very big. Have you ever been to one?" Leo asked, cocking his head. Eve shook hers; she grew up in a much bigger town with houses made of concrete and brick rather than wood like these. Sometimes she regretted that part of her life, although, what could she really do about it, she was only a child when she lived in the city. "Let's just figure out who's going to sell us this map we apparently need." Saber said, scanning the stalls for anyone who looked like they might be selling maps or at least antique scrolls. "We could split up? Look for it and meet up back here in an hour?" V suggested. "Sure!" "Sounds good." Jinx & Eve said sequentially (Continuation in Notes & Credits! :D)
/!\ Continuation below!! /!\ Please do not continue to here until you've finished the part in the instructions :] Once they were split up, Saber stood looking around the town center, she didn't even know where to start. A silhouette watched from the shadows, with another close beside them. The shadows whispered to each other and one of them emerged into the light. A grey nomin walked up to Saber and tapped her on the shoulder; "Um, hello, I heard you and your crew talking about a map?" she said. Saber jumped a bit and turned around to face the noman, "Oh, yeah. Do you happen to know where any cartography merchants might be?" she asked sheepishly. "Noo.. but I do know where you could find a map without a merchant." The grey girl said. "That could do. Can you show me where?" Saber asked. "Of course." The grey nomin said, "Let me just tell my friend it's alright to come out now." She walked off back to the shadows she was hiding in and pulled out a tall, almost jet-black noman. "This is Crow. Oh, and my names Indigo by the way!" The grey nomin said. "Oh, right, I'm Saber." She said, embarrassed to have forgotten introductions. "You need a map?" Crow asked. He was quite intimidating, the way he towered over Saber and Indigo. "So I'm told yes." Saber said, trying to remember exactly what Yven had said. Crow narrowed his eyes in concentration, suddenly, his eyes widened "I might have what you need." He started to lead them off to, where, Saber had no idea, but she hoped he did have what she needed. Indigo leaned closer to Saber, "I'm sure he'll find something for you somewhere. Crow LOVES collecting old maps and trinkets." she smiled. "Huh, cool." Saber said, "... why maps?" Indigo's brow furrowed, which was weird because nomen don't have eyebrows... "I'm not sure, but he really does like his maps. One of them went missing once and he was looking for it everywhere. We ended up finding it eventually, he was so happy :)" She said. "Huh. That's an interesting hobby." Saber said, she always thought maps were cool, and was curious to see what a collection would look like. "And a useful one apparently, if we do have what you need." Indigo laughed. Saber sighed. "Hopefully. If you don't, I've got the rest of my crew looking for it." she said, although she wasn't sure if anyone else would have more luck. "What does the map look like?" Indigo asked, cocking her head. Saber shrugged, "Pretty much a normal map of the continent, just with crystals scattered around." that's how Yven had described it anyway. "Sounds pretty :0" Indigo said with wide, practically sparkling eyes. "Maybe it will be, i didn't get many details from Yven." Saber said, which was unfortunately true. Yven's vision, however detailed it was on other fronts, was still quite hazy about the details of the map. (And some other things that would have been useful...) "Yven?" Indigo asked. Saber suddenly jumped up, "Oh! Right! You're a friend of hers right? She said she knew someone named Indigo!" Indigo's eyes widened again, "Oh, yes! She told me you were coming, I just didn't think so soon. And she didn't tell me what you all looked like... or what your names were.. she just said you'd find me." She said. "Huh. Seems a little convoluted, but okay..." Saber muttered. They arrived at a little house at the edge of the village. "I think I found a map with crystals once, although it was a while ago..." Crow muttered, searching through his collection of maps from all over. Saber marveled at the display, it was really impressive for just some old maps. "Ah. Here." Crow said, pulling up an especially musty-looking map. Saber took a look at the map. "Yeah, this looks right!" He said, a renewed feeling of determination flowed through her. "Let's go find the others." They met up with the others in the planned spot, everyone else looked disappointed, most likely because they couldn't find anything, but some of them *cough* V *cough* had had a watermelon thrown at him and been screamed at by an angry merchant. "I found it." Saber said breathlessly. "Who're these two?" Eve asked. Saber perked up, "Oh, yeah, this is Indigo" she gestured to a smiling Indigo, "and this is Crow" Saber said, gesturing to a very uninterested looking Crow. "Are they coming with us or...?" Leo asked. "Actually, I think we'll head to Yven, she said to meet up with you guys and then go to her when she told me you were coming." Indigo said, " Hopefully we see you all soon though!" She smiled. "So... we're leaving then?" Eve asked. "Yeah, let's do this!" Jinx shouted excitedly. "Alright, let's go." Saber said. And then they walked off into the sunset because yes.
