poems I wrote for pride month: The flag unfurls, a vibrant, painted stream, And in my chest, a joyous, hopeful gleam. This month, a time to celebrate and be, The truest, brightest version of me. No simple box, no single, narrow lane, My spirit dances, free from every chain. Non binary soul, a spectrum vast and wide, With love that flows, a never ending tide. Poly heart, where many lights can bloom, Dispelling shadows, conquering all gloom. To love them all, the beauty I can find, In every shape, in every precious mind. I see the colors, radiant and bold, More stories waiting, waiting to unfold. Each human being, a universe within, Where understanding and acceptance can begin. From deepest hues to palest, tender shade, No judgment cast, no difference to degrade. Each person valid, standing strong and true, A vital part of me, and part of you. Let voices rise, in harmony they sing, Of freedom found, of joy that love can bring. No matter who you love, or how you're known, Your inner light will brightly, bravely shone. So let the music play, the laughter ring, The boundless love that this proud month can bring. I'm thriving here, in all that I embrace, With open arms, and peace upon my face.
In June, the colors dance and play, Each shade a story, bright and gay. I stand within this vibrant tide, A tapestry where love is wide. My heart expands, it's full and free, Non-binary, just truly me. No boxes hold my spirit's flight, In loving light, I find my sight. With every voice, a tale untold, In every touch, a warmth to hold. Poly enough to share my grace, In every heart, I find my place. Let fears dissolve like morning mist, In unity, we coexist. For every soul, a valid theme, Together, we can live the dream. No matter how you love or share, What body holds you, who, or where, Each hue, each heart, a precious spark, Illuminates the deepest dark. With open arms, I welcome all, No voice too quiet, no heart too small. Across the spectrum, life’s parade, Authentic love will never fade. In this vast world, we intertwine, Our stories woven, yours and mine. In laughter shared and struggles sown, Together, never more alone. So let us dance in prideful joy, Embrace the love we each employ. For every color, every face, Is part of this, our sacred space.
