Instructions: First, heat up a nonstick small pan to low or medium low heat. Add 2-3 tbsp of refrigerated or room temperature unsalted butter. Melt the butter in the pan and add 2 tsp of cinnamon, 1/2 tsp of brown sugar, a hint of nutmeg, and 1 tsp of maple syrup. Mix together. You should have a smooth liquid with no bumps. Make sure to stir in the ingredients. Toast some white bread until it is crispy on the outside but still feels uncooked on the inside-basically when it is starting to turn golden brown. The best bread for this recipe is white bread that is cut into thick slices and doesn't get crispy easily. When the toast is done, put a piece in the pan with the sauce and keep it there for a few seconds. Then flip over and repeat. Do this with the other piece of bread. If you are running out of the sauce, swirl the bread around the pan so it absorbs the leftovers. Top with fruit and/or powdered sugar or leave it as it is. Enjoy! Munchiiee :1
This recipe is very sweet. It also taste a lot like maple syrup because it is part of the recipe.
