I've decided to try a little challenge, where for every day of the month, I'll do a little doodle of some of my favorite queer characters in media! Some of these will be ships, some of them will just be the character solo, and some of these will honestly just be my favorite headcanons :D. Enjoy! (I tried to save the quality by converting them to SVGs, but believe me when I say it's far more trouble than it's worth) Artists Note: 1: Villanelle/Eve (Lesbian/Bi) from the TV series 'Killing Eve' in the colors of their flags! (Villanelle's scarf is meant to be the one she took from Eve, hence the bisexual purple, but I'm unsure if that came across quite right) 1h6m 2: Unlikely Lovers Whizzer/Marvin (Gay, I don't use Whizzvin because it sounds bad) from the musical 'Falsettos', a freeze frame of the 2016 choreography from 'The Thrill of First Love' 1h 59m (tHE POSE. TOOK FOREVER.) 3: Lilith Clawthorne (Aroace) from The Owl House! Could I have chosen a better background color? Probably. Will I change it? Perhaps. I am too lazy and too tired to. Lilith is the first of a disproportionate number of Aro/Aspec characters on this list. Why are there so many, you ask? Well you see because that me. 1h45m 4: Happy Pride! Remember when the cutest sapphic relationship was gut-wrenchingly torn away? Me too! Claudia and Madeleine (undefined sapphic) from AMC's 'Interview With the Vampire'.1h14m 5: Happy Barricade Day (1/2)! Enjolras/Grantaire from 'Les Miserables' where we really start leaning into headcanon territory, (Homoromantic ace/Bisexual). I was pretty tired so this one is a bit crappier, but they're very sweet regardless. I like to imagine Grantaire on the bus coming back from a pride event and meeting Enjolras, who was doing gay terrorism or whatever. Very sweet <3. 1h43m 6: Happy belated Barricade Day! Enjolras and Grantaire again, but this time on a tarot themed triptych (Asterisks indicate reversed meanings). The fool, representing potential, apathy*, and uncertainty*; The Lovers unification, choice, and conflict*; and finally, The Hanged Man sacrifice, perspective, and delusion*. These took so long that I got thrown a little off schedule. 54m, 59m, 1h54m 7: Raine Whispers (Nonbinary), our second Owl House character! Again, behind schedule, very rushed. 46m 8: Cecil/Carlos (Gay, I'm fairly sure) from the fiction podcast 'Welcome to Night Vale'. Since there exists no canonical physical description for them (leading to some rather excellent attempts by the wiki- "He is confirmed to have hair, when he describes it withdrawing and then returning to his scalp in episode 72") I took it upon myself to design them and realized too late they both have glasses. Visually Impaired Homosexuals. 1h56m 9: Les Mis again!! Jehan Prouvaire (Headcanoned Genderfluid). I love how both Cecil and Jehan canonically have very strange fashion sense, and that I can therefore put them in literally anything. 30m 10: Falsettos The Lesbians Next Door (lesbians.) Again. Rushed. Fun fact: although the lesbians have names (Dr.Charlotte and Cordelia) they are never referred to as such in the text of the musical, meant to mirror the erasure of lesbians' role in the AIDS crisis (which, fun fact , is why L is the first letter in the acronym). 32m
