The clomp-clomp of their boots didn't make Ani stir, but the faint mewling did. Her eyes snapped open. And there they were, two bundles of fur, soaked from the rain outside. Ani stood, trotting over to them. She sniffed one, a dark gray kitten who's eyes hadn't even opened yet. Her gaze lifted to a drawing her housefolk had pinned on the wall. It was a flower, the exact flower that adorned the kitten’s pelt. As she turned her head to other drawings, one caught her eye. It was almost like the drawing of the purple flower. Maybe like the other kitten. Ani glanced at her housefolk, who were watching her with wide eyes. She whisked her tail, tucking the shivering kittens to her side to warm them up. She sat down, licking their fur backwards to dry them up. "Nightshade. Belladonna." She said, nudging the little black and gray kitten gently with her nose. "Welcome to the family." She gently picked them up by their scruffs and took them to her cat bed. She curled up around them, feeling their shivering calm.
