I usually never apply for roleplay, but I figured I could get back into it, as it is going to be summer pretty soon! I want to build up my vocabulary and practice my writing. I can give examples of the stories I write, but a comic I’m currently working on is called ROTDC. I was instantly drawn to Cozen the moment her eyes were mentioned; it's quite unique. I could do a lot with the symbolism of her pelt patterns. I love giving personality and depth to characters, and either way I hope this kit gets the storyline she deserves :D ACTIVITY LEVEL: I'm on a project hiatus but I usually check this site everyday, this will apply until july-august when I'm not going to have frequent access. So I’d say 7/10 fr OTHER GENS. CHARACTERS? Nope, just other RPs. I used to rp very often though haha! Positives: [+] Cunning to a degree, but she usually refuses to admit the fact. After all, it will only feed ego, and Cozen maintains a humble interior. [+] Loyal to those who she trusts—she does not trust easily, usually only towards her closest family members or friends. [+] Cozen is friendly to those around her, hitting up small talk or spending time with her clanmates. Even so, she remains wary; something just prevents her from investing in it completely. [+] Insightful or pondering when she wants to be. Cozen prefers not to get too philosophical on matters, but when there’s someone in need, she’ll be there to talk. Negatives: [-] Likes to do things on her own. Has a mild fear of others messing it up for her. [-] Rarely voices her true opinions, and doesn’t care if it’s for the group’s betterment. She’d much rather step out of the decision-making pool, which can be frustrating to put up with at times. [-] Can quickly get brash if another cat were to strike a nerve. She’s pretty horrible at de-escalating situations. [-] Righteous, solely because who she’s standing up to is wrong, not because she is right. That fact may be the only thing she clings onto as justification, and she doesn’t let go of it easily. This is why, as an apprentice, she tried keeping her opinions in check, or else it would’ve ended pretty badly for both parties. Neutral: [/] Mistrustful, reserved. This is likely due to numerous factors, such as the clan’s inherent nature and her early life growing up. [/] Good at lying and knows it, utilizes it mostly for getting out of tough situations. [/] Mischievous, which is only a byproduct of her wit and secrecy. She enjoys a little tease or laugh here and there. [/] Down-to-earth—early life has taught her to be prepared for the worst, even if it means burning bridges for the prospect of “logic.” For this reason, she does not feel the need to impress others. In her younger years, Cozen would probably be more cheeky and outgoing before growing more detached. FUTURE GENDER+ORIENTATION: For most of her life Cozen will remain fem-aligned, although she may try masc/androgyn presentations or pronouns. As an adult, I def see her being a sapphic or bi. Cozen may favor more softer fem-aligned personalities that contrast with her vehement soul. I don’t expect she’ll be that into romance, but if she ever falls, she would fall very hard. She’s not that good with these kinds of feelings. CW: Cozen, throughout her life living near the source of the sunset and moonrise, will appreciate the night sky, oftentimes comparing it to the sea depths. She likes how her pelt is reminiscent of the dotted stars of the constellation Orion, combining the above and below. POSSIBLE FAMILY DYNAMICS: Due to the absence of her father, she becomes highly bonded with her littermate, seeing him as her family from the very start. Cozen would do a lot for Tentacle, more than she would like to admit. She regards most of her family members as distant, but the ones she interacts with the most, she cherishes. To her, it might all disappear one day.
TRIVIA: I kind of mentioned the first few in the application, but it makes for a more cohesive list..! - Holds grudges pretty easily - Loves the location of Urchinclan between the sea and stars - Enjoys the taste of oyster but rarely eats it - Enjoys bouldering, generally decent at it - Dislikes debating; sees it as an obligation - Prefers colder weather cuz she has a thick pelt - As a kit, she’d probably have a lot of messy stuck-out fur and wouldn’t maintain it until later in her adulthood. She’d remained notoriously an unkempt fluffy critter, at least to herself, to which she thinks back to with minor embarrassment - Big ears smol child Example of RP text: “By the rock-studded seashore, nothing stirred awake but a singular she-cat. Like the bright lights in the sky. Like the lonely wanderer caught between the tides.’ Cozen sniffed at the air, detecting a tinge of a coming storm. Nothing was in the sky but stars and constellations; cosmic things that she could not begin to comprehend. Where was it? She couldn’t decipher the signs. ‘Some things are just hidden from us,’ the she-cat sighed.”
