AHHHH I WAS TALKING TO MY DAD ABOUT LGBTQ+ TRYING TO CONVINCE HIM THAT PEOPLE CAN GO BY THEY/THEM AND I ACCIDENTALLY SAID "I'm queer." SHOOT. HE GOES WITH THAT TONE OF VOICE THAT MAKES YOU KNOW YOUR IN DEEP S*** "your... queer? what's "queer"?" and I told him, not knowing how to get out of this "another way of saying LGBTQA+". AND HE GOES "no your not" DENYING IT AS ALWAYS I SEE. "uh yeah I kinda am" I TELL HIM BACK AND HE SAYS "oohohok, I know its cool and everyone's "coming out of the closet" (-_-) "but in my day I wore uniforms and focused on grades and academics and your school shouldn't be getting involved in politics" THAT MADE ME MAD BC HE THINKS ALL THIS IS POLITICS >:( SO I TOLD HIM "its not politics" AND HE GIVES ME THIS EXHAUSTED LOOK AND TELLS ME "it kinda is" SO I, DONE WITH HIM, TELL HIM "its not. and anyways ima go explore." BRUH HE TICKS ME OFF SOMETIMES
so I also accidentally came out to my mom too? T-T she was actually really nice about it <3 so I came home from school wearing a pride sticker and a she/her pin I got from my counselor's office and she is a little weary about them so I kinda gently lay it on her how I'm wearing them for pride month and how my friends are too and she goes ok and we have like a nice little chat about queer and stuff and I ask her "what if I was queer?" and yk what she tells me? she looks at me and she says this: "then I would still love you all the same, I'll always love you just the same, queer or not." <33 ahh I love my mom shes so accepting of meeee <333 UNLIKE MY DAD
