On March 29th, 1908, the 27th National Congress was held in Cavaros to some very palpable tensions in the building. Throughout the evening discussion on the economic situation of the Empire and the mounting issues growing internally had made the disparities in the government clear. Political divides between the crown, the national army, and parliament have continued to grow and it seems, with Emperor Valentyn's nearly violent outburst in the later half of the congress, the young Emperor is set on preserving, if not expanding, the powers the royal family is to hold not just in terms of the economy but the direction of the Empire as a whole. Only time will tell how much further this will progress.
