I made this a separate project from the weirdcore entry project because I didn't want it to be too cluttered. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Name: Strix Asio (taken from the first part of the scientific names of the great grey owl and stygian owl respectively! The stygian owl's eyes appear red under certain conditions and Strix has red eyes, so I wanted to name her after it, and the great grey owl is self-explanatory lol.) Age: 58 in dragon years Gender and pronouns: Cisgender Female; She/her pronouns Orientation: Bi-demiromantic Bi-demisexual; not very interested in a relationship. Personality: Closed-off, aggressive, stern, caring (to owls), spiteful, ambitious, bitter Backstory/Lore: Strix was born into a prestigious family of avian dragons, and from a young age learned that she would be the family outcast. Her feathers were stiffer and darker than the rest of her family's, her eyes were an unnerving red, and her horns jutted out like antlers rather than swirling and swerving elegantly. When she hatched, her father thought that her mother may have cheated on him, but testing confirmed that Strix was, in fact, his. She was just..strange. A freak. A mistake. Strix grew up lonely. So very lonely. Everyone avoided her like as if she were cursed. So she became closed-off and bitter, her only true friends (according to her) being the owls that lived in the woods near her home. They were considered pests by most dragons, so Strix related to them. Then, one day, Strix had the ingenious idea to just...leave. Leave her world. She had heard of ways to do it, and they didn't sound too hard. So, in secret, she left, and entered the world of humans, specifically in a suburban neighborhood. It was...dark. Quiet. Just like her. Just like her existence. She liked it. But she wasn't able to stay long before the creatures living there noticed her, screaming and throwing things at her. She quickly left, but by then her parents had found out, and, despite their lack of care for their daughter, they were furious. Just finding any reason to berate her, really. A fight broke out and in a fit of rage, Strix attacked her father, nearly killing him. She was banished from her homelands for this and was told that if she was seen again, she would be killed. Her wings were also tied down by unbreakable cables as further punishment. Currently, Strix wanders in both the world of dragons and the world of humans (especially in suburbs). Known as an enemy in one, and a cryptid in the other. Legends says if you kill an owl, red smoke may surround you and you will find yourself being mauled by Strix.
