This is a lil song I wrote a while ago, talking about feeling like i had to hide who i was from everyone, but then i started noticing things about people that reveal a lot about them. Also that you're not alone, there are more people like you than it may seem. There'll always be someone who notices you even if you don't realize it yet. This song was originally meant to show me noticing little things people carry around or do that made me realize that they were part of the LGBTQ+ community. There are other people besides you that share the pride of being part of the LGBTQ+ community who also might be afraid to share their identity. But i know that they'll support you no matter what, and i will too. We see you. I see you. You don't have to hide, we're always here for you <3 I'm sure none of y'all knew this, but I love writing songs and little poems to express myself, but I don't share a lot of them. I've written a few songs already and have many, many more ideas yet to be written. I'm only going to share this song with you guys because of pride month going on right now, but I might consider sharing a few more after this. Some of my songs look like they still need a little editing left, just some extra magic in them to make them even more special. And i'll tell you right now, some of them are not pretty... I probably cant share them here... But I promise to make sure all of the songs I share with you guys are appropriate and I hope you guys enjoy them. Also a little note, none of my songs have music written to them, so technically they cant be considered songs yet. They're just poems right now. These are the songs I have written so far : Luck Teenage Lover Leave Me If I Forget Messenger Romance Novel (and this song) They're all part of my little album I named "-Guitar Strings & Heartstrings-" I rly hope u guys like my song / poem !!! -Bear Song Meaning: -Verse 1: I have this lil bracelet with the colors of my flag, but most of my family doesn't know that I'm pan, so I always have to make sure I take off the bracelet before coming home from school or tuck my wrist under my sweater sleeve so nobody can see it. -Pre Chorus: Just me noticing other people at school having chains or wearing bracelets with the colors of other pride flags or just noticing their behavior and things like that. -Chorus: ("you're one of us") you're like the rest of us, you're not alone. ("If you show your colors, i'll show mine too") if you're open about who you are, i can tell you about myself (especially about sharing LGBTQ+ pride) -Verse 2: I can tell (by the things i see you do) that you're like us, but sometimes i still feel like i have to hide parts of who i am. -Bridge: Noticing more things about people that reveal more about you. If you open up a bit more, you can see you're just like us. -Chorus / Outro: (Main message:) You're not alone. By saying that "you're one of us" im just trying to let you know that you're not alone.
