I approache him in the paddock, as I toss the lead rope over his neck. He doesn’t seem to care or notice. So I slip my halter onto his head. He looks at me for a second, before returning his gaze to the ground. I than lead him to a post, and tie him up. I go over him with the curry comb, hard brush, and soft brush. I than pick his hooves and find a rock. Wouldn’t want to be riding him with that stuck in his hoof! After that I tack him up and lead him to the arena. I than mount him and we walk a few laps around it. I cluck, squeezing his sides to make him jog(basically trot.), he’s reluctant. I squeeze him again and I got him jogging. After a bit I let him walk again and try to get him to lope. He loped for half of the lap. I than dismount, untack him, give him a final brushing and return him to the paddock.
