Røne-Pälysovia is a country on the eve of change. Largely an agricultural, developing country for the majority of its modern history, recent developments have seen the country's industry blossom into a sprawl of factories, railways, and other technological marvels. This has only been spurred on by the recent democratization of the nation. and the subsidies towards the economy this has brought. While this explosion is much more notable in Pälysovia due to pushback from traditional Røne farmers and herders, the country's economy has benefitted overall anyways. Through governmental policies enacted over the last 2 years of the union's first steps, standards of living have been increasing across the board and money has been invested into urban infrastructure. The Pinks (social democrats) who have taken the helm of Rønnd have already been laying out groundwork for government-funded public services due to the influx of money. Steelworking has seen the most major explosion. Due to its young age and fast-growing nature, Røne-Pälysovic steel is extremely cheap to import abroad, leading to huge demand and corresponding development. Shipbuilding has also taken off, with the steel overflow making construction easy and the increasingly industrializing fishing business providing huge demand. As mentioned slightly earlier in passing, not everyone is happy though. Many civilians who make a living in agricultural sectors are pushing back against the industries threatening to topple the way of life they've had for decades. Small fishers are increasingly angry with the growing commercial fisheries that steal their catches. Unfortunately for them, though, the roar of steam and soot will not stop at a mere complaint.
