As I walked back into the cave I saw Dylan going through Megs backpack with mine untouched. Thankfully I wanted to go through mine, I forgot to tell them not too, but they seemed to know I didn’t want them going through my stuff. I walked over to my backpack. I unzipped the my backpack. I opened it to find it quite full. I shuffled through my backpack pulling stuff out as I went. Eventually I got to a notebook I decided to hide that from the others, and read it later. As I was about to put everything back in the backpack I felt something else inside of it. As I pulled out the last item I held in a gasp. It was the crowbar things from my only memory. I ran my fingers across the surface. It was like Déjà vu with the mostly smooth surface the exact same as about 6 years earlier. I put it back into the backpack. Then I went through everything else there where : Bandages, a journal I have to read, canned food, and a flashlight. I looked over Meg was sitting by the untouched squirrel, Dylan and Finn were going through Megs backpack. Dylan had in his hand a famine pad “Finn what’s this?” Dylan asked. I decided to let this play out and not talk, so I continued to act like I was going through my backpack. “I donno? A bandage?” Finn suggested “That makes scene.” Dylan responded I looked at Meg, she looked at me we made eye contact for a second. Then we burst out laughing. My eyes started watering after a while, and my chest started hurting. “What are you guys laughing at…?” Dylan asked shooting us a quizzical look “Yeah I want to laugh to?” Finn pouted. We where laughing to hard to answer their questions. Dylan’s and Finn’s faces made us laugh harder how that’s possible don’t ask. I was laughing, so hard all my worries left me, and I forgot I hated Finn. After a while me and Meg were able to stop laughing. We never told the boys what we were laughing at. We kept them in the dark no matter how much they asked. I got to admit the look of pure confusion on Finns face was priceless. We ate the squirrel I caught. No very filling, but will have to do. “What if we sent two of us out while the others hunt?” Dylan suggested “ I think that’d work” Meg responded “I’d say every few days moving camp, so it will be harder to catch us.” I strategized randomly “Yeah that is smart” Dylan responded to my strategizing. Finn stayed usually silent. I don’t thick I’ve been happier in my life. “Me and April could go hunt.” Finn recommended. Worst day of my life. “Ok” Dylan responded to Finn. Meg looked a little worried seeing my expression, but that same expression didn’t seem to bother Finn at all. I stormed out of the cave, and headed in the direction I thought was west.
This is a partially completed chapter I'm going to finish once I get back on scratch. My parting gift
