TGB – The Labyrinth of the Minotaur! Entry

Finally finished sorry it’s slightly rushed I tried to do my best but I had no motivation and just forced myself at this point T^T also I haven’t wrote anything in a while so…. I road up to the entrance of a large labyrinth, frostshadow was hesitant to go further. The labyrinth entrance gave off an eerie vibe but that didn’t stop me, I gently pat frostshadows neck as I got him to enter the labyrinth. We slowly rode into the labyrinth. Once we got inside it was slightly dark it was faintly illuminated by torches that lined the stone walls. We continued to head forward, so far it was silent other than the sound of frostshadows hooves against the stone floor. We continued down the path with each turn it felt like we had been going in circles. Everything looked almost exactly the same I began to lose track of time. Suddenly as frostshadow stepped on a tile I head a loud click, I quickly glanced around the room usually in a place like this a click is never a good sign. Suddenly arrows began to fly towards us! One flew towards frostshadow, I quickly used my wing to block it luckily for me my wings are covered in strong scales to the arrow bounced off my wing. I had to think fast so I quickly signaled for frostshadow to run. He quickly bolted down the hallway, I tried to block and dodge as many arrows as I could. (For those who don’t know midnight has wings) We quickly made a sharp turn escaping the arrows. I gently pulled back on frostshadows reins telling him to stop. Once he stopped I dismounted and checked him for any injuries. I finished a few minutes later luckily I found no injuries, as I gently pet him he suddenly nudged me with his nose as if he were trying to point something out. I glanced at my arm which had a bit of black blood on it, an arrow had scratched me. I looked back at him “I promise I’m fine, it’s just a scratch.” I told him in a soft comforting tone. He just let out a small snort he wasn’t too convinced, but there wasn’t anything I could do right now so I just mounted him again. (Midnight has black blood (it’s lore related) He began to continue heading through the labyrinth, within minutes we began to lose track of time again. I had been lost in thought ||if this is called the labyrinth of the Minotaur does that mean there’s a Minotaur?… if there there is do I get to fight it?|| I had pondering about random things as the time flew by. So far all was silent until.. something large dropped from the ceiling a few feet behind us! I slowly turned my head to see what had dropped behind us, to my surprise I found I giant stone bolder heading straight towards us! “Well that’s not good…” I mumbled to myself “looks like we have to run again… frostshadow.” I told him as i turned my head back to him, he immediately bolted down the hallway once again. The bolder rolled after us, frostshadow galloped as fast as he could. The bolder seemed to only speed up, I tried looking for a way to stop this thing but my plan was quickly pulled to a halt as frostshadow suddenly stopped. The narlurk stopped his hoof on the ground as he panicked, I looked down ahead the floor crumbled leaving a dark abyss. Behind us the bolder was quickly gaining on us, I had to make a difficult choice. I decided that we’d jump over the abyss, this move was incredibly risky and dangerous but we had no choice. I gently pulled back on the reins telling him to back up once we had backed away from the ledge enough i leaned forward and signaled for him to gallop. He ran towards the ledge at full speed, he quickly jumped over the large gap. I held my breath as we glided over the abyss. For all I knew we may miss the jump but I chose not to think about that and trust my horse. I closed my eyes as we got closer to the ledge. By the time I opened them we had made it. I let out a sigh of relief as I pat his neck. I leaned down and hugged his neck I was so relieved we survived the bolder and that jump but now wasn’t the time to celebrate we still had to get through this de trap. We continued to go through the maze again. After many dead ends and traps we finally reached the center of the maze. Frostshadow stopped and looked at me trying to make sure I was okay after all those traps. I was mother fine other than the fact my arm still had some blood on it. I was mostly exhausted after all the stress of trying to survive this labyrinth death tr. I slowly dismounted him, i gently pat his neck. We finally made it! Though I was a bit disappointed that I didn’t get to fight a huge Minotaur but that didn’t really matter much to me I was just glad we both made it through the maze alive.
