I'm back! :D (sort of - I have two more exams, this is basically my way of saying I'm not dead) ========= Backstory (bit of a long read) =========== Here's a remake of probably the most famous suspense track from the "Miljoenenjacht" soundtrack, probably because of its use in the Philippine version, "Kapamilya, Deal or No Deal" (notably the only one currently using Schimmer's soundtrack) for each round (interestingly, Bulgaria used it in a very similar manner in its original version). This bed became a bit of a fixation of mine as I couldn't stop humming it for the past week, partly because it was so hard to do accurately and partly because I've become a bit hooked on KDOND (and a bit of Sdelka ili ne) with news of its return. It has also been used in countless other versions, which I will list below (only examples I'm aware of - if anyone knows other examples of its use: ・┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄・International uses・┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄・ ❏ Netherlands for general round/offer music (2004-10) ❏ Poland (season 1/2005-06), Russia ("Сделка?!"/2006) and El Salvador (2011-14) for basically the same thing ❏ Poland (season 1/2005-06) for selecting the player's case at the beginning ❏ Afghanistan (seasons 3-4/c.2011-13) for the money board/rules ❏ Iran (diaspora in UAE) and Afghan s3-4 specials for selecting the player's case and money board ❏ Philippines for every round ❏ Bulgaria (2005-c.2014) for round 1
All rights go to the composer and creator of this music, Martijn Schimmer (2004). I extracted audio from Philippine (of course!), Dutch, Afghan and Bulgarian episodes for this, and the beginning was uploaded onto YouTube by a channel called "KDoND Sound Effects". Also, I have recreated or am in the process of improving my recreations of eight other suspense beds.
