Last spotted in: An unknown place in the bottom of the sea The Gatekeeper is possibly one of the most abnormal of all giants. Its body resembles that of a centaur, but pitch black, with a strange material oozing all over it. It has tentacles, a lot of tentacles, on its head and where a human's ribcage would be. It certainly has a... distinct appearance. It also emits a strange sound similar to people screaming, which is definitely creepy. But what is the strangest thing about it? Its "head" acts as a portal. Yes, while this may sound absurd even for the researchers of C.A, the creature's head leads to a strange pocket-dimension simply titled the Abyss. Now, how do we know about this? It's quite simple. A few underwater drones were sent to investigate the giant, and these drones accidentally entered the place known as the Abyss. The Abyss appears to be where many, many giants of darkness come from, such as Salvation, !Chaos Entity, The Titans Of The Dark, and even NULL itself. It is a pitch black void filled with strange, dark water with some equally strange specimens of flora, such as abnormally tall mushrooms with eyes and leafless trees with an ashen tint, who have two mouths on their stumps. If there is any land in this dimension at all, it is impossible to see. The Abyss is filled with eyes in different colors, watching over the beings living inside of it, dark shoggoths with hundreds of limbs, tentacles and eyes that can drive any mortal man insane. The drones have also reported some much larger giants, this time with humanoid bodies, yet they retain the features of their lesser species, in fact they have more. And lastly, there are giants so large that even less than a quarter of their bodies cannot be seen even with the enhanced vision of the drones. These gargantuan giants seem to have spider-like legs, three giant mouths, and eight huge tentacles. Now, back to the Gatekeeper. It can only move a few meters per month, so there is almost zero chance of it going anywhere and setting the Abyss lose. However, as I have told you, a few giants have managed to leave the Abyss. And we fear that more can escape at any time. The Gatekeeper is closely watched, with researchers making sure it does not move. Just like !Chaos Entity, the information related to the Abyss is a cognitohazard, and if anyone learns about it too much... they eventually become one of its shoggoths, seek the Gatekeeper, and enter the Abyss...
