Aircraft: Boeing 737-800. Planned path: SFO to LAS (San Francisco to Las Vegas). It was May 19th, 2022. Southwest 185 was flying at 35,000 ft when suddenly, the fan blades in the left engine jammed. The plane would then descend as the pilots noticed this, and passengers were freaking out and screaming. Several parts of some of the fan blades would crack off, shattering a window. Jordan Damian, a passenger sitting in that row next to his brother Jaxson would freeze as he noticed the window breaking open. The cabin would depressurize, causing oxygen masks to drop. Jack Gutiérrez, a passenger sitting on the row where Jayden, Jaxson and Jordan were, was unfortunately right next to the shattered window, and was partially sucked out. Passengers nearby would then get up and pull him back into the cabin, and Jack was luckily alive. Part of the fan blade would then strike a passenger, Samuel Wade, who was traveling with his family, causing him to receive a cut. The plane then landed at 28L way too hard, and the nose gear collapsed. Emergency slides unfolded from the front doors, and the overwing exits were opened by passengers. All passengers (including Samuel, Jaxson, Jack, Jordan and Jayden) survived. Out of the 7 members of the flight crew, 2 flight attendants and both pilots survived.
