Brassicaia rapaia, colloquially known as the Common saurnip, is a species of reptile in the family brassicaceaeiaidae, specifically in the brassicaia genus. Saurnips are large predators which lack a proper neck, with a head and spine that could honestly be classified as one entity due to the amount of fat around its body. They live mostly in caves or other extremely dark areas, using their two stalk-like appendages to scan around, due to having a huge cluster of highly-reactive nerves on the ends of these appendages, which resemble leaves. When a saurnip detects a creature touching its leaves, it’ll quickly wrap these appendages around its prey at blinding speeds, capturing the target in a strong bind, before then eating the creature. If any of these steps fail, the saurnip will run away, often quicker than what most would be expected from all of that body weight. Saurnips normally eat bugs, truffle biters, other reptiles, and the occasional lost boar, although they aren't particularly picky and will eat anything they can grab, making them extremely versatile.
