Pt 1:connie __________________________________________ Connie Tediously trailed the halls of the palace. Questioning whether becoming a peasant was the right decision or not. 'Poor Boxten. He was a good king, but he was bound to get overthrown.'. Connie paused. 'They didnt need to murder him though.' Her thought was firmly engraved in her head. Connie had always wanted to become queen. Around 70 percent of the royals are cowards! 'Just stay loyal, and you'll have a chance.' She constantly told herself that, but she knew it was very unlikely. At least she didnt have soulvester's luck, her brother was forever positioned as a guard. Because he was good at it. It angered Connie knowing that, but she was almost the lowest rank. She doesn't have a say! Connie stop treading in the halls for a split second. 'This isn't any better than shrub life...' she thought. Shrubs were the lowest rank. They didnt live in the palace, they lived out in the open. All together in a bunched up group. Shelly is a great queen, way too nice but still great. but even she knows that shrubs are far too dangerous to be kept as refuges. For goodness sake gigi KILLED Boxten! Back when connie was a shrub, gigi and dandy were menaces. Gigi in her torn navy blue sweater with her ichor-covered spiky bat had taken out at least 3 royals, and she acts like a dog to dandy; the shrub leader. Connie constantly has intrusive thoughts about getting a higher chance of being royal with the shrubs, but it is much safer in the palace.Connie spotted soulvester on inner gate duty."Hey soulvy, does the queen need anything?". Soulvester nodded. "Okie dokie! Thanks!" Connie changed her route towards the throne room. She was met with three thrones;each containing a royal. Shelly was in the middle, with the largest throne, because she was the current queen. On the left there was a slightly smaller thrown with silver highlights that represented second in command;which was currently vee. Connie was sure Shelly only pick her because Tisha insisted on staying a peasant, and Sprout was too good of a guard. On the right sat a much smaller throne with pink highlights, because it belonged to the "princess" who has forever been toodles (because everyone else is too old).Connie once heard soulvester mumble about a young shrub, but she couldn't confirm it ever. If there is a young shrub they stay in the shrub hideout. "Uhm- Miss Shelly, did you need anything?" Connie asked sheepishly. Shelly gave Connie a slight smile "We'll i asked for a fruit smoothie earlier, but i can't remember who i asked." Shelly sighed "either way they clearly forgot about it.." vee eyed Connie a little but remained silent. "Well I can definitely get that smoothie for ya!" Connie said excitedly. 'A chance to prove my loyalty!' She thought. 'Who could possibly forget such an easy task?' She laughed to herself while leaving the royals room. She caught scraps watering plants and thought it be nice to greet her. "How ya doin'?" Connie asked. Scraps was startled by Connie's sudden appearance. "OH! Uhh fine I guess, though clearly nobody has done plant duty in a long time." "I mean- look at this monstera!!" Scraps lightly grabbed a shriveled plant leaf from a nearby plant. "Oh yikes.." Connie didnt actually give the plant much mind. Scraps was practically dumping water on the leaf now. "Anyways, what's your current duty?" Connie yelped. "The fruit smoothie!"
