The truffle biter is a species of fungusaur in the genus tuberia, located nearly everywhere in Boarania. They are often characterized by their ability to dig into the ground with the powerful digging claws on their feet, like most species in the genus can, and then rest with only their head poking out, which makes the creature like a large truffle on the ground. Whenever a truffle biter senses its head has been touched, it leaps out of the ground and attempts to attack the unsuspecting victim, which can often include boars that mistake it for a real truffle, using its great sense of smell to locate the target, as truffle biters cannot see.
