I probably won't be posting the other chapters, but I do plan on finishing and publishing this book, hopefully! So this is a teaser, I guess. →→→→→→→→→→→→→→→→→→→→→→→→ This kingdom has many cages. The cages sat in the sky, held up by chains and swaying in the breeze like branches of a willow tree. Most of them were empty, however, with rust climbing greedily up their iron bars. The ones that weren’t empty, however, are the ones that haunt the kingdom with the sorrowful howls and cries that ring from inside them every night. Today, one less cage would be empty. The taunting jeers and caterwauls of the gathered townsfolk rang in his ears as one of the Councilors behind him prodded his back with a dull metal stick. He stiffened like a cornered animal—which was a lot like what was actually happening. His arms were bound behind his back; his mouth covered by a metal clamp. “Citizens of the Seven Isles!” crowed Councilor Kaelith. “We have another addition for the Collection!” The cheers were monstrous. The townsfolk were monstrous. --The Council is full of monsters and they’re turning their citizens into monsters, too--
Tell me what y'all think!! I'll add a thumbnail eventually.
