So when her quirk had the chance to be a hero, she jumped at the chance. Naturally, she met Mei. They bonded. Partners in crime. But before the end of junior high, a rouge villain attacked Sumi, desperate to get to Mei, she used her quirk, accidentally shooting her headfirst into the ground. She had major brain damage. Comatose. When she awoke, she had retrograde amnesia. Unable to remember anything but the smell of motor oil and smudges of pink. Her parents, fearing the worst if she met Mei again, sent her away. Mei figured she was dead. Sumi was accepted into UA with recommendations. And when Mei first saw her, she thought it was a joke. Instantly tried talking to sumi. But sumi forgot everything.
