Makoto Naegi: he had primary nocturnal enuresis up until he was in fifth grade (this one is canon.) he has mild inattentive type ADHD but never took meds for it. he gets ear infections really often but no one has ever found a medical reason why this happens, he just kind of gets unlucky with them. i imagine that there have been quite a few times where he has been pulled out of school for a doctor's appointment (to look at his ear infecton yk) and he just so happened to miss a really annoying pop quiz. he had motor tics as a kid but they were relatively mild and they went away after like a few months (the term for when this happens is provisional tic disorder/transient tic disorder.) he also had Osgood-Schlatter disease in his right leg when he was like 13 and it did cause him some pain issues for a little while but he just did the recommended conservative treatments for it and it ended up healing faster than the doctors expected it to. Sayaka Maizono: She had anxiety and depression, as well as body dysmorphia, and some traits of OCD but not enough to meet the criteria for a full diagnosis. She's dealt with this on and off her whole life, and it was worsened by the stress of idol life. She received treatment for her mental health issues while at Hope's Peak, and for a while was actually doing pretty well, but when her memories were erased it reverted her back to how she was before she'd been to therapy and learned proper coping mechanisms. she's also nearsighted (it's worse in her right eye) but usually doesn't wear her glasses because it's pretty mild and she doesn't feel like she needs them. whenever she does wear her prescription, she uses contact lenses instead of glasses. Kyoko Kirigiri: she has had frequent episodic tension headaches ever since she was a kid. she's also had dysthymia ever since she was a preteen. and like, she has those burn scars on her hands (canon) so i think she'd probably have chronic nerve pain in her hands because of that. Toko Fukawa: well she canonically has dissociative identity disorder obviously. terribly written DID but it's still DID. so that's worth mentioning. she also has canon nyctophobia (phobia of the dark) and hemophobia (fear of blood). i feel like she'd probably have a few other phobias besides that, so I'm going to say she has a fear of needles and a fear of butterflies. she also has dysthymia punctuated by episodes of major depression (a phenomenon sometimes referred to as double depression). she has a mild astigmatism in her left eye and she's farsighted which is why she wears glasses. everything in this is headcanon unless i say specifically that it's canon. dont judge me for doing this ok im just bored and sometimes you just gotta headcanon medical histories for fictional characters. i might do this for the second game as well but if i do i might need a whole seperate project for komaeda. also i feel like all the survivors would have some kind of trauma and/or ptsd from the events of the game but I'm not including that for all of them because it feels redundant.
