I have created this project as an information and care guide for shadow warpers. X3 CONTENTS: -general -cleaning -diet -sleep -enrichment ˗ˏˋ ´ˎ˗ GENERAL ˗ˏˋ ´ˎ˗ Shadow warpers are mysterious critters associated with either dark or light (or moon/sun) elements. Shadow warpers can be found anywhere they enjoy and anywhere correlating to their appearance or personality. The first shadow warper I found (spark) came to me by jumping out of my book when I turned the light out. Spark is a dark element shadow warper, arriving in the absence of light and a lively creature. Xe is handy with a human pen, and - seeing as they were in a book - probably a keen reader too! ˗ˏˋ ´ˎ˗ CLEANING ˗ˏˋ ´ˎ˗ Check your shadow warper for a base creature before cleaning. If, for example, it appears to be a lizard/gecko, you will need to wear gloves first as reptile shadow warpers may have lightly poisoned skin. If you were to touch them e.g. for head rubs you would not be harmed, but for cleaning, continuous scrubbing might cause irritation, especially on very pale skin tones. I thought this would be a problem for cleaning Spark but seeing as they are a fire element it turns out that xe will only go in rain water! I care for fire spirits by collecting dew-ridden leaves and cleaning them with that. Sometimes shadow warpers will have gills. This does not mean they will perish on land but it does mean that you will have to give them a monthly gill massage to unclog them. Give them plenty of water, any kind. They enjoy showers. ˗ˏˋ ´ˎ˗ DIET ˗ˏˋ ´ˎ˗ When working out what your shadow warper likes to eat, I strongly suggest this activity. All you need is below. Lay out the following: A piece of cheese, not too strong A piece of chicken (preferably leg meat) A piece of lettuce A piece of fish (don’t worry about giving fish to a fish-looking spirit, because, remember they are not actually fish) A piece of mushroom A piece of moss Each pice should be a quarter of the size or your spirit, or less. This should determine the type of food they like. See what they eat and they will like similar things. I say this as their diets vary greatly from spirit to spirit. ˗ˏˋ ´ˎ˗SLEEP ˗ˏˋ ´ˎ˗ Your shadow warper will tend to sleep in the place you summoned them. The only exception to this is if you had seen them in a dream before summoning them, or if you summon them in less than 5 seconds. Some shadow warpers will observe your sleep patterns for a night so that they can know when you wake or so that they can see where you sleep. ˗ˏˋ ´ˎ˗ENRICHMENT ˗ˏˋ ´ˎ˗ Shadow warpers are very silly and mischievous. They will play with almost anything but, being spirits (and being easily excitable) they may run towards it (the toy) and go through it. Sometimes they might get very confuzzled and nibble their tail. If they do, simply wiggle your finger in front of them and they will snap out of it.
