Here are three biblical facts you probably don’t know!! 1. A lamb’s blood is antivenom for snake bites. Now, in the Bible, Jesus is depicted as the final sacrificial lamb (Hebrews 10:1-18; 1 Corinthians 5:7; John 1:29). And Satan is depicted as the snake (Revelations 12:9; Genesis 3:14). And when Jesus bled and died on the cross, His blood that got shed became our protection from the devil (Hebrews 9:14). Just as a lamb’s blood is antivenom for snake bites. 2. Salt preserves food and makes it taste better. Salt has been used for hundreds (if not thousands) of years to preserve meat and other foods from rotting. Salt is essential for us and it has been for so many years. Not just because it preserves but it also gives flavor. Now we are called to be a salt to the world (Matthew 5:13), which means that we are to live in a way that preserves goodness and flavor to the world that influences other positively and honors our relationship with God. 3. Honey never expires. Now you might be thinking how that has anything to do with the Bible. What’s so special about this one is that God’s Word is compared to honey (Psalm 119:103). And honey, it never expires! It can be edible for thousands of years. Honey will always be edible and lasts forever. And when we see that God’s Word is being compared to honey, it tells us how God’s Word never expires (Matthew 24:35). No matter how old it is, it will always exist and it will always be relevant. JESUS LOVES YOU!! Never forget that :D
