(Credits to the Story of Snow by @Frostwing213 !) Space, click, or arrow keys Back between chapter 46 and 47, I made a theory that seemed far-fetched at the time; basically, Shadow[fall] was Darklight's mother and the mate of a golden-brown she-cat seen in the prologue, who I dubbed "Swirl" due to the description of her pelt and the fact that her real name wasn't revealed yet. Swirl was described to look similar to Goldenpelt, making me guess that they were also mother and kit, so Darklight and Goldenpelt would be sisters. I never did get it released, but by the stars, I was right! Some of my drawings for it were finished, though, so I might as well share them here! (Note: “Swirl” is consistently drawn as if she were living. White lineart on a white background doesn’t exactly work.) 1. The first drawing I made to design the so-called "Swirl," used as a ref later on. Probably one of the best designs I've made in a long time. 2. The title screen without text, which I added in Scratch. There was a little line saying "(Regarding this gal)" with an arrow pointing to the drawing of Swirl. 3. My cleanest drawing of her, for the page after the title screen introducing the theory. 4. There's one part of the theory that remains yet to be confirmed true or false, which is written a bit more about below. This drawing had the word "...Shiningcreek?" with an arrow pointing to it in blue-gray text. 5. Goldenpelt! Not really happy with the design but the vibe is right. 6. Shadowfall! She was going to be drawn with Darklight but that's where the motivation ended, oops. ~*~ And because I can, here's the last part of the theory that remains unconfirmed: The cat dubbed Swirl was Whitestar's shadow. We know from previous chapters that Whitestar definitely had a shadow, and Shadowfall's golden-brown mate is the most logical choice. Here's some reasons why: (1.) Shadowfall and Swirl watch the birth of Snowpelt and Whitestar together, very clearly planning something for their future. One goes to Snowpelt, the other to Whitestar. (2.) Shadowfall is clearly in the Dark Forest, and Swirl has heavy implications of being Starclan. Shadowfall would influence someone to kill, while Swirl would be in the mind of a cat who has been approved by Starclan (9 lives.) Maybe she even influenced Starclan to give them? The main argument against this is that in chapter 44, Whitestar says to her shadow, "What do I do, Shiningcre-". The only logical suffix there is "creek," and "Shiningcreek" is a name for a slim blue-gray Riverclan cat, not a golden-brown, probably fluffy and Thunderclan one. (Explaining my drawing .) If this Shiningcreek actually does end up being Swirl, or perhaps a friend/the male mate of Swirl, then I'd call the theory highly likely to be correct.
