The Outcast: An Outsider, searching for home with a long way to go. The Outcast was always an oddity. Once as a child, they were with their mother when a green lizard snuck up on them. Their mother didn't make it, and they barely made it out, albeit covered in scars. They were constantly made fun of it as they grew up. One day, they decided they would fight back. They grabbed a spear. It had felt on it. Red felt that seemed to linger on their fingertips. It was soft to the touch. They grabbed it, thinking it was a blunt, toy version of traditional spears. They approached the group of bullies, clutching the hilt. They see it and instantly shrink back, pleading. They get ready to throw it, yet the crackle of thunder stuns them in terror for a moment. Then wobble slightly, and fall. They roll off the hill they stand on, struggling to find footing. They then hear a familiar hiss. Lizard. They panic, fumbling with their grip and nearly falling into Monster Kelp. They manage to run, panting, and only able to hold onto their spear. They run blindly until they fall. Fall down a long long long chute until they arrive in Outskirts. They turn to glance at their spear, and force a smile. They take a deep breath to announce their presence, but instantly shrink back as haunting shrieks fill the air. Their bullies, cornered by a lizard. They hesitate for half a moment before letting go of the spear. It soars through the air in an arc before striking the lizard's tail. It hisses, almost like a lizard but more bubbly before exploding. The lizard is flung, and collapses, growling softly. The bullies look from the body to The Outcast, tearing up slightly. They approach warily, and The Outcast smiles at them slightly. Ending Cutscene (Ending 2/3, True ending): The Outcast warily approaches the enter to the Scug tree. They turn to glance at their spear, and force a smile. They take a deep breath to announce their presence, but instantly shrink back as haunting shrieks fill the air. Their bullies, cornered by a lizard. They hesitate. Then grip the hilt before returning it to their back. They walk away, ignoring the screams. Ending Cutscene (Ending 3/3, Karmatic ending): The Outcast steps into the golden void fluid, shaking slightly. They hold on tighter to their spear before leaping fully inside, holding their breath. They glide through the gold, catching whips of other scugs. They see void worms soaring in graceful arcs in the distance, but they dash away upon noticing them. As the approach the center of the void sea, they catch up to solid figures of other scugs and a familiar lizard. They clutch the hilt of their spear, but feel it slide out of their fingers, a void worm taking it with it's tail. The Outcast wriggles their fingers slightly, feeling the gap where their prized possession once was. They turn to face the depictions of their enemies, and paw at them. They fade like dust in the wind. The Outcast swims through them, warmth filling them as they ascend... OC for
