Jumping with Raspberry Update My little Raspberry is in a pride month tack set! (Sadly the colors look a little too bright on him, in my opinion! Should’ve chosen a dark bay for this!) This tack set is an AP Pride tack set that will soon be available at Alpines! I’ve been noticing that Raspberry an be quite sticky over oxers that are higher than 1 meter. So we’ve currently been practicing those oxers. It doesn’t seem to affect the way he’ll jump a course, it will just make oxers less flowing. He’s now, since last training session, got it, but I wanted to make sure today that he really found the perfect jump. Normally I do not like to jump high in an AP saddle (just because of the feeling), but his old jumping saddle broke recently (due to SOMEBODY thinking it was a toy!!) and I haven’t had the time to try to fix it or replace it, it was pretty old so I may just replace it. During our session today, I put a pole 2 strides away from the oxer. After four warmup jumps I put the pole up to 105. I went over it twice at 105 cm, I made sure he was doing it well. We did this for a few higher cm then called it a day. We got to around 125cm all done perfectly! Really happy with him!!
