Pronouns: he/they (sometimes uses she/her) Sexuality: bi with a preference for men Height: 5’3 / 160 cm (closer to 5'1.5/156cm when slouching) Likes: Eclipse/Elio, astronomy, reading, moths, validation Dislikes: big crowds, confrontation, being the center of attention, failing to meet expectations Basic story/lore: Nix used to be an honor student. The best in his class, everyone knew it and everyone expected great things of him. Over the years the pressure kept building, then one day he snapped. After the incident people treated him differently. They viewed him under the same scrutinizing spotlight yet without any of the praise that once came with it. He never had liked being the center of attention for his grades but he found it more bearable when it was at least for something he'd worked for. Now he was the center of attention because of a break. They weren't expecting excellence anymore, they were expecting another show, another break. This led Nix to move towns. For a while he was a shut-in. The only socializing he was doing being from online games and mandatory group calls for his online school. After a year of being a shut-in his parents forced him to go to an in-person school again. He vowed that he would not be noticed this time. He would do well in order to receive validation from his parents but not so well other students would notice him. Once at school he quickly took notice of Elio. He had the confidence that Nix wish he had. He was jealous of Elio's confidence and ability to seemingly not crumble under pressure. Eventually those feelings of jealousy shifted as Nix observed Elio more. Eventually he realized that he had developed romantic feelings for Elio. Which made him come to terms about his sexuality and got him to question other aspects of his life like his gender identity. Favorite season - fall Favorite holiday - halloween Favorite food - curry (all kinds) Favorite dessert - dark chocolate Favorite school subject - science (English is a close second) Other stuff I wanna say about my character but am not sure where to put: -his crush on Elio is pretty much one sided, and since he’s too shy to ever say anything he tends to just follow him around school or hang around the same general area as him when he can. Which often results in him finding new small quirks about him that fuels his crush. -Nix when following Elio is very rarely noticed because of how quiet he is. Because of that eventually he finds out Elio's identity as Eclipse. He never says anything as he feels he's in the spotlight enough from just being near most of the magical girl shenanigans because he's near eclipse/elio. -He has some freckles/moles (i still don't know which term works best) on his back and on his left arm that are in the shape of the constellation “the teapot”. I have this shown on his old ref. Even if it’s never really shown I like to think of where different body markings would be on a character. -the circle on his vest is an embroidered Pluto, wanted to make it clear because I didn’t put much detail into it because it felt too busy with more detail. -very flexible -He got the nickname pluto from one of his few "close friends" from his old school when pluto was declared no longer a planet but a dwarf planet. His friend compared him to pluto because of his height compared to his grade and the nickname stuck -most of his friends are online -he's not particularly religious at all, the cross is mostly just for aesthetic purposes. He often fidgets with it to calm himself down or keep himself from loosing focus -eventually he figures out he's genderfluid. He mostly changes between more masculine or gender neutral identities but there are some days he feels more aligned with feminine gender identities. (hopefully I'm explaining this well sorry if I'm not) -As he realizes his old friends weren't really friends and he explores his gender identity more Nix ends up shifting away from the name pluto and switches to using Nix more.
